Spinach Recipe
KEERAI MASIYAL
INGREDIENTS
- Spinach 1bunch (cleaned and chopped)
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 Red chillies
- 1/3 cup Green gram dhal
- jeera 1tbsp
- salt to taste METHOD Cook all the above ingredients add 1 cup water in a pressure cooker 4 whistles . When well cooked remove from fire and mash . While mashing add 2 tbsp ghee and 3 flakes crushed garlic. KEERAI MANDI
- Spinach 1bunch (cleaned and chopped)
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 Red chillie
- water 1cup which was used to wash rice
- garlic 4
- coconut milk 1cup
- salt to taste
- tomato 1 cup
METHOD
Heat 2 tbsp oil .Fry 1 tbsp mustard seeds, 1 tbsp black gram dhal and 2 red chillies.
Then fry onion & garlic . You can add 1 chopped tomato .Then add the spinach and fry well. Add the rice water and cook greens till done. Add salt before removing from fire, add coconut milk.
KEERAI THAYIR PACHADI
INGREDIENTS
keerai 1 bunch(cleaned and chopped)
curd 1 1/2 cup
salt to taste
Asafoetida a pinch
METHOD
Boil keerai in a water with salt . Mash and cool . Then add curd and asafoetida.
