Kadai Chicken Recipe
Ingredients: Chicken with bones- 1/2 kg
Cumin seeds Ginger garlic paste- 3 tsp Fresh tomato purée-3 medium tomatoes Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp Coriander powder- 2 tsp Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp Oil- 4 tbsp + 1 tbsp Capsicum cubed- 1cup Salt- 1 tsp or to taste
coriander leaves - 2tsp
Grind masala:
Oinon 1 cup
Green chillies 2
cashew 1/3 cup
cinnamon 1
clove 4
cardamom 4
Preparation:
Take a kadhai & heat 4 tbsp of oil. Add all the ingredients mentioned for Grind Masala for 5 mins. Cool & rough grind the masala. Take out 4 tsp of this masala for the chicken. You can store the balance for future use.
Process:
Take a kadhai & heat 3 tbsp of oil. Add the cumin seeds and kari leaves
Now add the ginger garlic paste & fry for 2 mins.
Add the turmeric, Chilli powder, coriander powder & Cumin powder.Then add the tomato puree & fry on high to medium for 15 mins till the purée is cooked.
Add the chicken pieces & fry on high for 5 mins mixing it well.
Chicken well cooked. Then add onions and cashew paste. Mix well . Cook for 5 mins & add salt to taste.
Add Capsicum ,pepper powder and coriander leaves. Cook for 3 to 5 mins.
Serve hot with roti.
