dosa recipes are integral part of any south indian family and so it is in my family too.  pesarattu dosa is one such famous dosa from telugu cuisine but has spread all over south india. I was exposed to this recipe from my Family.

INGREDIENTS

FOR BATTER:

1 cup green moong dal / pasi paruppu

2 tbsp chana dal / kadala paruppu


2 tbsp rice

2 tbsp  yellow moong dal/

1 green chilli

ginger

1 tbsp asafoetide

water as required 

 salt to taste


INSTRUCTIONS

  • firstly, in a large mixing bowl soak greem moong dal , rice ,yellow moong dal and chana dal for atleast 4 hours.
  • further, drain off the water and add all ingeandients  blend to smooth batter. add water if required.
  • transfer to a large bowl.
  • also add salt to taste.
  • mix the batter well and get to dosa batter consistency. add water if required.
  • further pour a ladleful of the batter on a hot griddle.
  • spread it in a circular motion thin circle.
  • if the dosa is not cooked from top, flip and cook both sides of dosa.
  • slowly remove the dosa from ends.
  • finally, serve pessarattu with  coconut chutney.
